THANK YOU and a couple of cards

Happy Memorial Day everyone!

I wanted to take the time to say a great big THANK YOU to our military, those currently serving and veterans alike. You put your life on the line for all of us, and I / we are so very grateful!

Now I have a couple of cards that I have made and managed to remember to take pictures of...teehee...

The first card is a birthday card for my Daughter-in-Law. She's not a fru-fru type of girl...so this is not a really frilly card. Tomorrow is her birthday and I will be seeing her this coming up weekend, so I will give her the card along with her gift. We are going to a bowling party for my granddaughter's birthday (which is the 31st)...so lots of fun for this coming weekend!! And yes, it's mother and daughter...LOL The card has a removable bookmark on the front...thought she might be able to use it...she's in college. We're very proud of her, she has a little over a year left to be a Pharmacist!! Woo-hoo!!!

Oh, and before I mess up and forget...The scrumptious ribbon, rose and flat back pearl trim were a gift from a cyber friend...Heather...she does beautiful work!

Ok...here are the pics...LOL ( I know, you're thinking finally!!)

The next card i have to show you is one that I actually SOLD!!! YAY!!!!!!! I finished the inside with an appropriate sentiment for the purchaser...I think I'm on a tag kick...teehee...but this one isn't removable.

Ok, so that is my offering for today...I thank you for taking some time out of your day to visit with me for a few and I hope you will return for another visit soon!!

I hope you have a blessed and creative day!!

Until next time,
Lisa

First Mini & YouTube Video

Hi all!

This is my very first mini album created by me from scratch! It was so much fun...and a learning experience. I know things I will do differently next time! LOL

Here is a look at the front...I took the pic with my phone and in not the best of light...LOL
here is the video on YouTube...a first for me also! It isn't edited and I now know that I need to turn my camera sideways...but, hey, I did try!! LOL
If you feel like it, take a look and tell me your thoughts...on the video (pointers would be great), on the album (pointers would be welcome as well) or even on the weather...LOL

Thank you for stopping by and spending some time with me. I hope you have a blessed and creative day!

Until later,
Lisa

Tickets & Tags

Hi all!!

So, tickets and tags seem to be all the rage right now in paper crafting...thanks, I'm sure, mostly to Mr. Tim Holtz!

Wellllll.....I had to try doing them as well! So, since I live no where near a craft store and definitely did not want to wait for shipping...hehe...I made my own SVG file for the tickets and cut them on my Black Cat Lynx named Xena! I stopped by Staples and bought a pack of #5 shipping tags and began to PLAY!!!

I see why these are soooooo much fun!!! Oh my goodness, the possibilities are endless and I'm just beginning to try them!! LOL Anywho, here are a few pics of some that I have done, and I haven't even added any embellishments yet...but there will be ribbon, possibly beads and surely some bling on the final versions...**grin & wink**

Thank you for taking some time out of your day to visit. I hope you will come back again.

Have a blessed and creative day,
Lisa
