A Sneaky Peek and a Giveaway...

Hi ya!

I am a guest designer this month over at CuttingEdge Magazine...and their magazine features ideas and information on all sorts of electronic die cutting machines. They pick a brand for each bi-monthly issue (6 issues a year), do a review and tell the different uses for the machine, whether it is a vinyl & paper cutter only, if it will use a pen tool to draw, if you can engrave or emboss with it...you get my drift. Then they show some projects made with that machine. They also offer several free or discounted cutting files through the magazine each issue...not to mention SEVERAL projects...yep, EYE CANDY for you to feast your eyes upon and to try for yourself! It's loaded with great stuff and worth the subscription price!! I know, 'cuz I purchased a subscription when it was first launched, and haven't regretted it, not once!

You all know I have the Silver Bullet Professional and am totally in LURVE with this machine...the possibilities are endless with it! Oh my, make a girl swoon...well, I used it to work on a project for this issue...I can't show you here...but you can head over, get a subscription and see my goodies I created. I don't think you will be disappointed!

Penny Duncan is also a guest designer, and she has a project in this issue as well. (oh, and she's doing a giveaway too)

Here is a SNEAKY PEEK of the upcoming issue...

And here is a SNEAKY PEEK of my project in this issue....

Summer...

Hey y'all!

I hope this finds each of you doing well!

I have been playing with markers...and I mean really playing 'cause I have no idea how to really, really color with them...ROFLOL I just go with what seems to work for me...I have Letraset ProMarkers, a few Letraset Flex Markers and some Copics...a few of this and a few of that...well, you get my drift! I just use whateva' I can get my little hands on.

Oh, and yeah, ummmm...don't look too close take your glasses off...so you don't see where I am out of the lines...like I said...I'm learning...

So, I'm a fan over at Simply B Stamps Fanbook on Facebook and for this month's challenge Betty so generously gave us "Summer the Fairy" (the digi) to play with...you could choose eyes open or closed...I chose closed and HERE is my take on her...

Don't you just L-O-V-E her?? She screams happy summer to me!

I did a PnC with her through SCAL on my Silver Bullet Professional...I just brought her in and did a shadow layer so I could print the digi and then cut around her...cause we all know, my cutting by hand isn't always so pretty! LOL But, man-o-man, didn't my SBP cut a fantastic outline of her?? The SBP & SCAL both R-O-C-K!!

Take a trip over to the store Simply Betty Stamps and check out all of the most fabulous digis, rubber and clear stamps that Betty creates...they are awesome and not the "norm"! And she has lots, yep...boat loads of other things to offer as well. So, I will stop talking now so you can make that trip...

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again real soon!

Have a blessed and creative day!

Tag...you're it!

Good Morning Y'all!

I hope all of those in Andrea's path aren't too rain soaked! I know we had a TON of rain from the girl, but other than that, it wasn't too bad on us.

Still sending prayers and good thoughts to all of those out in the mid-west that have been so ravaged by weather in the past few weeks.

Well....I have been rather busy in my everyday life for the past few weeks and don't see it slowing down for a couple  more...but, hey, that's a good thing! LOL

So, today I have a tag that I would like to share with you...my very 1st ever completed stand alone tag that was given to someone...yep, you heard that correctly...my very 1st! And on top of that...my very 1st fabric flower of this sort....yeppers...2 for 1! ROFL

So, you wanna see??

Well.....here ya go....hope you like her!

I had so much fun making her...and she was an "exchange" on the ArtHaven Yahoo group.

Here's the deets:

I used a standard shape for the tag, and a liner "tag" shape (Shabby Shape) for the background and a silhouette for the focal...ALL of which were cut using my fabulous Silver Bullet Professional electronic cutter!! Did I tell you it's on top of the TOP TEN list?? Oh yeah, I did...sorry...it's just soooo exciting, that I tend to repeat myself! And I used SCAL software...awesome, by the way! Works so perfectly with my SBP! The silhouette is lifted with pop dots to give her a more prominent position.

I added the flower....my first of this kind...and I'm sure it will NOT be my last! And lots of pretty, sparkly stones and some loopy pearls...the girl is now all prettied up!

Next I used my Crop-a-dile to punch the hole in the top for all of that yummy lace, ribbon and fuzzy trim...

And voila...there she is! My very 1st ever completely stand alone tag with my very 1st ever flower in this style!! Sooooo....whatcha think??

I'm attaching the files - my Shabby Shape & my Silhouette here for you to download if you would like to have them. All I ask is that you do not share/sell my files, but rather send them here to my blog to download for themselves. Thank you!

If you create something with the files, I would LOVE to see it!

Thanks for taking the time to stop by for a few. I hope my little Art offering my inspire you in some small way...

I hope and pray you have a safe and creative day!

Until next time,
