Tag...you're it!

Good Morning Y'all!

I hope all of those in Andrea's path aren't too rain soaked! I know we had a TON of rain from the girl, but other than that, it wasn't too bad on us.

Still sending prayers and good thoughts to all of those out in the mid-west that have been so ravaged by weather in the past few weeks.

Well....I have been rather busy in my everyday life for the past few weeks and don't see it slowing down for a couple  more...but, hey, that's a good thing! LOL

So, today I have a tag that I would like to share with you...my very 1st ever completed stand alone tag that was given to someone...yep, you heard that correctly...my very 1st! And on top of that...my very 1st fabric flower of this sort....yeppers...2 for 1! ROFL

So, you wanna see??

Well.....here ya go....hope you like her!

I had so much fun making her...and she was an "exchange" on the ArtHaven Yahoo group.

Here's the deets:

I used a standard shape for the tag, and a liner "tag" shape (Shabby Shape) for the background and a silhouette for the focal...ALL of which were cut using my fabulous Silver Bullet Professional electronic cutter!! Did I tell you it's on top of the TOP TEN list?? Oh yeah, I did...sorry...it's just soooo exciting, that I tend to repeat myself! And I used SCAL software...awesome, by the way! Works so perfectly with my SBP! The silhouette is lifted with pop dots to give her a more prominent position.

I added the flower....my first of this kind...and I'm sure it will NOT be my last! And lots of pretty, sparkly stones and some loopy pearls...the girl is now all prettied up!

Next I used my Crop-a-dile to punch the hole in the top for all of that yummy lace, ribbon and fuzzy trim...

And voila...there she is! My very 1st ever completely stand alone tag with my very 1st ever flower in this style!! Sooooo....whatcha think??

I'm attaching the files - my Shabby Shape & my Silhouette here for you to download if you would like to have them. All I ask is that you do not share/sell my files, but rather send them here to my blog to download for themselves. Thank you!

If you create something with the files, I would LOVE to see it!

Thanks for taking the time to stop by for a few. I hope my little Art offering my inspire you in some small way...

I hope and pray you have a safe and creative day!

Until next time,

French inspired & a challenge completed

Hi all,

I hope today finds you doing well. The weather has been gorgeous here for the past few days...beautiful sunshine...not hot, just a soft breeze and highs around 80 degrees...birds chirping, dragonflies soaring and bees buzzing...glorious days, indeed!

I have been working on potting various herbs...cause I've always wanted an herb garden...and now I have pots of aromatic herbs sitting all around my back porch...a feast for the senses of sight and smell...and I'm lovin' it!

I do have a vinyl project that I finally got done...I have wanted to take one of my "party buckets" and turn it into a French inspired planter...here is the results...tell me what you think...

Next, I'm a member of a Yahoo Group and one of the moderators issued a challenge (and you KNOW I gotta play when challenged - LOL)...to make something using a cut file she created...which is the viewfinder file...I decided to make a mini...I still have to complete the inside...LOL

Here is my completed challenge...how's it look??

Everything I have cut...the vinyl, the papers for the folders (my file)...the print & cuts...the butterfly...the challenge file...EVERYTHING was cut on my Silver Bullet Professional cutter...it is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I love the combination of the SB Pro and SCAL - my choice software for cutting with!

Well...let me know what you think...

I thank you for taking a few moments out of your day to spend with me and I pray you have a blessed and creative day!

Until later,

Vintage...Shabby... or Vintage Shabby

Hey Ya'll!

I hope everyone has recovered from the Holiday Season! I've been pretty busy with "family and friend" types of things... but I have been in my ArtRoom to play just a little. And it has been soooo much fun - I forget how much I truly miss creating! (until I have to take a break for a while **cough-cough** ummm, I mean my mojo leaves and it finally comes back) I have a deep need to create.

Here are a few things I have been working on - I won't go into detail on them, but it has been a blast making them! I hope you enjoy...

I think I'm discovering a new style that I have - or maybe have always had - but I now have a name for!! (Thanks Penny - LOL) Introducing my style...Vintage Shabby

I think I like making minis...so look out, if you are on my "gift list" for any reason...you might just end up with something along these lines! LOL

I thank you for stopping by for a few and hope you will do so again really soon!

I pray you have a blessed and creative day!

Until later,
