Wedding Foiled & Vintage Simplicity

Hi all,

I hope you are having a wonderful week! Ready for the weekend?? I know I am!

It's now Friday morning and I have a wedding to attend this weekend. Nothing like waiting until the last minute to get your card made, now is there??  LOL Well, I have been playing with my new Foil Master that I got from Sherri at That's Scrap, Inc....and oh my, how much fun it is!!! And the variety of foils she has available are beyond amazing!

For this card I used the Silver Spectre foil that she carries for the outside custom monogram I made for the couple and on the inside, for the sentiment, I used the black foil.

Isn't it gorgeous?? I will most assuredly be making more items with my Foil Master!

Next on the agenda, I also have a birthday card that I needed to make and I wanted to go with a vintage sewing feel...so here is what I came up with...

Doesn't this just scream vintage simplicity??? LOL Okay, that was really bad, but fun, none-the-less!

Well, that is my offerings for today. I thank you for taking a few moments out of your day to stop by and spend them with me. I hope you will do so again really soon.

Until then, I pray you have a blessed and creative day!

New Adventure

Hi all!

Wanted to drop you a line or two and share a new adventure I'm on! With the encouragement of my friends Penny Duncan (who has also designed some AWESOME files and has them on her Etsy store), Gigi Gleason and Sherri Jensen, I have been working on files that will work well with the tools that go with the Silver Bullet Professional, a machine that I am beyond ecstatic to own! This is such a versatile machine to work with...oh my goodness...the things it is capable of.

Thank you, my wonderful and supportive friends...I so very much appreciate your unending patience and encouragement...I'm glad I took the leap!

If you have a machine capable of doing or using the tools to engrave, etch, distress or even draw, you too, can use the files I have been designing. Each file comes in the following formats: SVG/DXF/PDF/EPS/SCUT3

Here is a look at the tools used for the files I created.

Here is a pic of my wonderful machine using the Etching Tool...the design I am showing is not in this collection, but I'm sure I will have it in another soon...

Here is the link to the collection on my Etsy store if, by chance, you are so inclined to take a peek.
There are 17 files available in this collection...

The pics aren't fabby by any stretch of the imagination - some aren't even finished pieces (ie:cards / framed)...several I have done only as a trial run to make sure everything jived...but I did try to at least take a pic of some of them to give you an idea of what's available...LOL Sorry, I will try to be better in the future...promise, I will try!

This is the Tribal Hummingbird on pink shimmer vellum.

Celtic Dragonfly on pink shimmer vellum.

Magnolia Cross on mirror plastic from Darice.

Kneel phrase and the Fleur Scroll Frame on mirrored plastic from Darice.

Cross and Lily on mirrored plastic from Darice.

I thank you for stopping by and spending a little time with me. I hope you will do so again really soon.

Until then, have a blessed and creative day!

Easter Card...as promised...LOL

Hello Everyone!

I'm back again, I promised...didn't forget...I did it! I remembered to take pics of my Easter card when I finished...and to post about it!! Ha - betcha' thought I would forget...LOL

It hasn't been but a couple of days since my last post, so not that much has happened different than before...LOL...bet you're glad, too.

I did want to tell you that I totally cased this card from Pinterest...you know, that place we're all hooked on...the one where once you go there you're addicted...and you lose track of time, I mean, like really lose track...hours will be missing from your day, suddenly you will wake up from a fog and realize that you have no idea what time it is. Well, that's the place that I saw something similar to this card. I just changed the candles for crosses and used an arched window file from Monica Bjork's blog. She has some of the most amazing files and they cut like a dream on my Silver Bullet Pro! I changed the shape (slightly) to one of the arch/window files and added the crosses, to make it feel more like Easter. Cut it out, along with a branch file I made, and the little flowers are a SCAL basic shape...just really tiny...and my Silver Bullet Pro cut everything out GREAT!

The card base is white, the background on the front is a deep purple misted with a shimmer spray that I make, the arch is gold, branches are green and the flowers are pink and white. On the inside I have a printed bible verse and cut it out in a framed shape using the print and cut in SCAL on my SBP. That is layered onto a white piece of card with the same shimmer spray used on the purple on the front.

Let me know what you think...

I thank you for stopping by today and spending some time with me and I hope you will come again soon.

Wishing you a blessed and creative day!

Until later,

Hey Y'all,

Long time no see...and I'm really, really, REALLY sorry about that. Really! And I didn't want you thinking I had fallen off the face of the earth, so I thought I better blog a little...

I have been busy with life in general and I have been making a few large aluminum signs for a couple of business to put up on their buildings. (yay me!) It's been a really fun and learning experience, to say the least. But, hey, isn't that what life is all about...the learning process. It makes you grow as a human being and creates character, at least that's what my Mama always told me! And, boy howdy, I created me some character...LOL

I'm also working on some files to put in my Etsy store...I'll tell you about those when I can get them finished and ready to go.

I've been tackling a new software...is there a pace slower than a snail?? If so, then that's me, but I will learn it!  with a little help from my friends, I'll get by with a little help from my friends - name that song - LOL

I have made several cards and such, just haven't stopped and taken pictures.

Today, however, I have made a birthday card...and I remembered to take pics! I know, pick yourself up off of the floor....ROFLOL

Here it is:

Next I have to get my Easter cards made...will take pics and post about those when I get through with them. Promise...scouts honor! (Okay, I wasn't a scout.) But, I do promise!

I'm going to be looking into another pc really soon, so that may take a front seat to other things. Dear Lord, please, pretty-pretty please don't let me lose all my stuff when I go to transfer. Amen Yeah, I know...that was a random bit of info...LOL

Well, that's all for today. Thanks for stopping by for a few and I hope to see you again really soon.

I hope and pray you have a blessed and creative day!

Until later,
